Position Overview
PrideStaff in East Sacramento is actively recruiting detail-oriented individuals for a premier manufacturer in the South Sacramento area. We have select full-time positions open on the first shift for Assembly, Sanding & Detailing Technicians.
If you have a background in auto body repair, finishing, industrial painting, fiberglass fabrication, or detailed assembly, your skills are immediately relevant! This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your hands-on craftsmanship in a stable, professional production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Finishing & Detailing: Perform precise sanding, polishing, and detailing work on various manufacturing materials to prepare them for final assembly or delivery.
Material Preparation: Work directly with bondo, composites, fiberglass, and other specialized materials to smooth out imperfections and ensure a flawless finish.
Quality Inspection: Use tactile senses (feeling for defects) and close visual inspection to ensure all surfaces meet strict quality standards.
Assembly Line Support: Work independently yet cohesively within a fast-paced "line" environment to keep daily production goals on track.
Safety & Maintenance: Safely operate a variety of pneumatic and manual sanding tools, keeping your workstation clean and organized.
Recommended Skills & Characteristics
Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail with the ability to look at and physically feel materials for micro-imperfections.
Hands-on Experience: Comfortable working with sanding tools, bondo, body fillers, composites, and paint without hesitation.
Preferred Backgrounds: Prior experience or formal training in auto-body repair, automotive polishing, carpentry, marine/fiberglass work, or detailed craft handyman work is a major plus.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand on your feet for the entire duration of the shift and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Reliability: Dependable work ethic with a consistent, reliable means of transportation to the South Sacramento facility.
