Position Overview
Dhaka Technologies Limited is
seeking a Licensed Psychologist to provide part-time clinical psychology
services at residential and secure treatment facilities serving adults with
intellectual disabilities, co-occurring mental health needs, and/or forensic
involvement.
The selected candidate will
provide clinical oversight, psychological interventions, assessment support,
behavioral plan review, documentation, consultation, and hearing-related
support. This role requires a psychologist licensed in Maryland with experience
serving individuals with intellectual disabilities in structured residential,
clinical, or forensic care settings.
Role Purpose and Setting
The Licensed Psychologist will
support adults age 18 and older who require care, custody, clinical guidance,
behavioral support, and person-centered interventions.
The work environment includes
intermediate care and secure treatment settings focused on promoting personal
growth, behavioral stability, community readiness, and transition to less
restrictive environments when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and oversight for three
to six Psychology Associates and their assigned caseloads.
- Develop, review, and implement person-centered
clinical interventions based on court orders, assessments, behavioral
needs, and individual care plans.
- Provide or support group and one-on-one interventions
focused on self-regulation, behavioral stability, adaptive functioning,
and community-ready behaviors.
- Review, approve, and co-sign behavioral support
plans, suicide risk assessments, and sexual abuse protection plans.
- Complete psychological summaries and related clinical
documentation.
- Provide testimony at administrative hearings,
guardianship hearings, and other required proceedings as needed.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute
clinical input regarding resident care, treatment planning, behavior
support, and progress.
- Consult with residential, vocational, clinical, and
support staff regarding resident well-being and treatment needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in
accordance with facility, contractual, regulatory, and professional
standards.
- Follow all applicable safety, confidentiality,
clinical, and compliance procedures.
- Sign in and out daily to track attendance and service
hours.
- Complete mandatory training and maintain required
certifications throughout the assignment.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed by the Maryland State Board of
Examiners of Psychologists.
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing psychology
services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Experience developing or reviewing behavioral support
plans, clinical summaries, assessments, and treatment-related
documentation.
- Experience providing clinical supervision or
oversight to psychology staff, associates, trainees, or related clinical
personnel.
- Ability to provide person-centered interventions for
adults with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring behavioral or
mental health needs.
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary treatment
planning and collaborate with residential, vocational, clinical, and
administrative staff.
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills,
communication skills, and professional ethics.
- Ability to testify or provide clinical input in
administrative, guardianship, or related proceedings when required.
- Ability to work onsite in Hagerstown, MD for a
flexible 20-hour weekly schedule approved by the designated contract
representative.
- Ability to provide three professional references from
the past five years verifying relevant psychology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in intermediate care, residential
treatment, forensic, secure treatment, or state-operated facility
settings.
- Experience supporting adults with intellectual
disabilities and court involvement.
- Experience with risk assessment, suicide risk review,
behavioral intervention planning, and protective planning.
- Experience supervising multiple clinical caseloads or
reviewing documentation prepared by psychology associates.
- Strong familiarity with trauma-informed,
person-centered, and behaviorally focused clinical approaches.
Work Schedule and Environment
- Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.
- Flexible weekly schedule may be proposed by the
psychologist and must be approved by the designated contract
representative.
- Onsite work is required in Hagerstown, MD.
- Daily sign-in and sign-out are required for
attendance tracking.
- A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is required when
working more than six consecutive hours.
- No overtime or holiday pay applies.
Mandatory Training and
Compliance
- Must complete crisis prevention and de-escalation
training, including required training hours before working directly with
residents.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid
certification provided onsite.
- Must follow all facility safety, infection control,
and public health protocols, including PPE and testing requirements when
applicable.
- Assignment is contingent upon completion of required
criminal background checks, including fingerprinting.
- Must comply with all applicable confidentiality,
security, clinical, and facility policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a
Maryland-licensed psychologist with strong experience serving adults with
intellectual disabilities in structured care environments. This individual
should be clinically sound, documentation-focused, collaborative, and
comfortable providing supervision, reviewing behavioral and risk-related plans,
participating in interdisciplinary teams, and supporting legal or
administrative proceedings when needed.
