Job Summary:

As an employee of Mount Joseph at Waterville, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for administering medications and treatments to our residents with utmost respect and compassion. We are seeking a certified and experienced CRMA Per-Diem to join our team. If you are dedicated to providing exceptional care and have a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, statutes, and regulations

  • Work in cooperation with the Residential Care Coordinator and other staff members to provide exceptional care to our residents

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of medication administration and resident care

  • Implement resident service plans and provide patient-centered care

  • Participate in shift-to-shift reporting and new staff orientation

  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Current, valid State of Maine department-approved Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) certification

  • First aid and CPR certification required

  • Minimum age of 18 years

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Demonstrated genuine interest in working with people with mental illness and exhibits good human relation skills

  • Ability to maintain valid CRMA certification

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent standing and walking

  • May be subject to prolonged standing, twisting, bending, and squatting throughout the day/shift

  • May be subject to frequent interruptions, emotionally upset persons, injury from falls, burns, dust, odors, chemicals, and exposure to infectious waste and diseases

  • Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions when assigned or necessary
