Position Overview
Dhaka Technologies Limited is
seeking a highly experienced UX Project Lead to support a large-scale
digital service improvement initiative for one of its government clients.
The selected candidate will lead
the end-to-end user experience design and implementation of improvements to a
digital hiring platform used by both internal staff and external applicants.
This role requires strong UX leadership, project management, human-centered
design expertise, stakeholder facilitation, visual communication, and the
ability to work with developers, platform experts, IT teams, business
stakeholders, and external users.
The ideal candidate must be
creative, analytical, results-oriented, highly organized, and capable of
leading complex design and implementation work in a fast-paced government
environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX project activities for a large-scale digital
service transformation initiative.
- Support departments in improving and implementing
digital service delivery processes.
- Lead a transformation effort involving multiple
departments, stakeholder groups, user communities, and technical teams.
- Use existing research and collect additional data as
needed to inform digital service redesign.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, stakeholder
interviews, and analysis to identify user pain points and improvement
opportunities.
- Facilitate cross-departmental workshops to map
business processes, user needs, research findings, and technology
capabilities.
- Create site maps, flow diagrams, storyboards,
wireframes, mockups, and interaction flows.
- Develop information architecture and UX/UI designs to
improve user experience for both front-end and back-end users.
- Apply UI style guides to create visual designs for
website pages and platform-based user interfaces.
- Support testing, refinement, and implementation of UX
and UI changes.
- Collaborate with developers, platform specialists, IT
staff, technical leads, and business teams to implement design
improvements.
- Support platform experts in prioritizing and
implementing system changes based on user research and business needs.
- Help define impact targets, monitor performance, and
support course correction when needed.
- Challenge the status quo and identify creative ways
to overcome process, design, and technology roadblocks.
- Summarize complex findings and recommendations
clearly in written, visual, and verbal formats.
- Manage project priorities, timelines, deliverables,
risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Support occasional before-hours or after-hours work
when needed to capture research opportunities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of professional experience and a
bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, to meet master-level position
requirements.
- 10+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and
monitoring project activities.
- 10+ years of experience leading projects and ensuring
compliance with established standards, procedures, and delivery
expectations.
- 10+ years of experience in user experience,
human-centered design, digital service design, visual communication,
product design, project implementation, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in creative direction and
design.
- 7+ years of experience in brand strategy and
storytelling.
- 7+ years of experience in web and mobile UI/UX.
- 7+ years of experience designing UI/UX for human
services, public-sector, or complex service-delivery applications.
- Strong expertise in human-centered design, UX design,
visual design, design research, data synthesis, co-creation, prototyping,
testing, iteration, and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex digital
design and implementation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct user research and
translate raw data into insights, recommendations, and actionable design
decisions.
- Ability to display large amounts of information in
simple, clear, and easy-to-understand formats.
- Experience facilitating workshops and meetings with
senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong project management background with the ability
to establish targets and deliver measurable results on time and within
budget.
- Strong ability to work independently and
collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
with technical teams, business users, leadership, and diverse stakeholder
groups.
- Superior organizational skills, with the ability to
set priorities and respond quickly as priorities change.
- High resilience and patience when working with users
and stakeholders with varying levels of interest in digital service
redesign.
- Strong desire to improve public-facing digital
services.
- Familiarity with HTML.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Sketch, or
equivalent design tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and
related productivity tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Design,
Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Centered Design, Communications,
Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar enterprise
HR/hiring platforms.
- Experience supporting hiring, human resources,
applicant tracking, workforce management, or employee service delivery
systems.
- Experience working with government, public-sector, or
civic technology teams.
- Experience designing for accessibility, usability,
and inclusive digital service delivery.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams that
include developers, platform specialists, business analysts, IT staff, and
policy stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior
UX leader and project manager with a strong record of delivering complex
digital service redesign initiatives. This individual should be able to lead
research-informed design, facilitate senior stakeholder workshops, translate
complex processes into clear user experiences, manage implementation with
technical teams, and deliver measurable improvements for both internal users
and public-facing audiences.
This role is best suited for a
candidate who combines strategic UX thinking, hands-on design capability,
strong project discipline, and the ability to lead transformation work in a
complex stakeholder environment.
