Baseball Camp Senior Counselor (Temporary) - Part-time

Monmouth University is seeking applications for temporary Baseball Camp Senior Counselors in the Athletics department.

The Baseball Camp is designed to help each participant improve their skills while gaining a better understanding of the game of baseball. The goal of the camp is to teach baseball fundamentals in a fun and energetic environment. The camps will aid the youngster in developing their own skills with individual instruction and group drills. Campers will be grouped by age and skill in order to receive optimum individual instruction, plus maximize the camp experience.

The candidate would be expected to: oversee the student-athlete counselors who are providing instruction on all aspects of Baseball.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate would be expected to:

• oversee the student-athlete counselors who are assigned teams within their same age group/ability group
• organize the teams within their group for technical and tactical demonstrations
• reinforce the daily curriculum for the teams in their age group/ability group.

2026 Camps are scheduled for:

June 29 - July 2
July 6 - July 9

Camp runs from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm each day (lunch is not included)

Counselors are required to pass a background screening and complete mandatory compliance trainings.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• One year of experience coaching baseball at the youth, high school or college level
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
