Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

• Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM
• Friday (every other): 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturdays (1st, 2nd, & 3rd of the month): 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms in accordance with clinical protocols
• Welcome, seat, and prepare patients for treatment while ensuring comfort
• Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining efficiency
• Select, mix, and place dental materials as appropriate within EFDA scope
• Take digital X-rays and impressions
• Fabricate temporary restorations and polish removable appliances
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative care
• Accurately document treatment plans and clinical notes in patient records
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
• Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies
• Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience

• Active Dental Assistant registration in the state of Washington (required)
• Active EFDA license in the state of Washington (required)
• Current enrollment in seven clock hours of AIDS education and training (required)
• Prior dental assisting experience required
• Strong understanding of dental procedures, materials, and clinical workflows
