Why does the job exist?
This position will provide, monitor and supervise standard nursing care services and will ensure the safety and quality care of patients in the Surgical Clinic Department.
How does it get done?
This position will explain procedures to patients and answer questions, prepare equipment for use as needed, prepare examination rooms for patient exams, position patients for imaging exams and ensure safety of patients during exams.

The staff, patients, and community.

- Experience in conducting employee evaluations.

Minimum Qualification
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and two (2) years of management experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Employment Requirements
Must successfully complete and pass a background check.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of standing, sitting and equipment use is required. May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to move/lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
