Bookkeeper Construction

You won't want to miss this opportunity to join a thriving construction business in Sacramento.   The construction Bookkeeper manages the billing cycle, specializing in project-based invoicing  collaborating with project managers to ensure timely payments from clients. This is a temporary to permanent position with potential for growth and pay increase upon conversion to a permanent team member.  

Bookkeeper Duties: 

• Prepare and submit monthly progress billings
• Issue and collect lien waivers/releases to ensure legal compliance.
• AR aging reports, contact customers regarding past-due accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Process customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards) and apply them to specific jobs and invoices.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to review job costs and reconcile accounts.
• Maintain customer files, including contracts, certificates of insurance (COI's), change orders, and payment records. 
   

Qualifications: 

• Previous construction accounting experience (3-5+ years preferred), specifically with billing.
• 1-2+ years of experience utilizing QuickBooks Online
• Excel proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups 
• Ability to produce high volume output while maintaining an attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client-facing collection efforts.
