This seasonal position supports a variety of maintenance, cleaning, moving, and groundskeeping tasks to help ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Assist with summer cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, gyms, and common areas - Move furniture, equipment, and classroom materials as needed - Help with painting, minor repairs, and basic maintenance projects - Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, watering, and trash removal - Assist with setting up and tearing down rooms or facilities for summer activities and events - Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment - Follow all district safety procedures and guidelines - Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Supervisor Qualifications - Must be at least 16 years of age - Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team - Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices preferred - Reliable attendance and punctuality required Physical Requirements - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds - Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work indoors and outdoors for extended periods - Ability to work in varying weather conditions Work Schedule - Seasonal summer position - Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours - Hours may vary based on district needs Compensation - $15.62/Hour - Part-time seasonal position not eligible for district insurance Reports To Maintenance Manager Terms of Employment This is a temporary seasonal position with employment dates determined by the school district’s summer maintenance schedule.
