Summary:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Environmental Technician assists various Division of Environmental Health and Compliance (DEH) staff with various environmental health and science programs focused on the protection and improvement of tribal health and the environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
1. High School Diploma with one year of college coursework in a closely related field or a strong interest in pursuing a degree in an environmental field of study. OR
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Water Resources, Soil Science, Natural Resources or closely related field.
ESSENTIALS:
1. Must have a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation and proper insurance.
2. Must have minimum qualification as a Wildland Federal Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) or obtain qualification within three (3) month of hire.
3. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Department Policy, Privacy Act/HIPAA regulations.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have experience using various computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
2. Must have experience operating UTVs, light truck and farm equipment.
