What you'll do:We are pleased to introduce a compelling role for a Security / Facilities Technician covering two areas to join our lively team in Englewood, CO! This dual assignment offers the valuable experience of working hand-in-hand within our Englewood office.
You’ll be the heartbeat of our Englewood office—serving as the primary onsite point of contact for tenant needs, landlord maintenance coordination, and site security oversight. Keeping daily operations seamless, supporting our teams, and crafting a polished, professional workplace experience. Partnering closely with our customers, you’ll ensure the office runs efficiently and employees have what they need to thrive.
The day-to-day:
- Monitor video surveillance, alarm, access control systems, and respond quickly and appropriately to security events.
- Enforce Viasat security policies in a professional, approachable, and customer-focused manner.
- Maintain familiarity with Viasat policies, procedures, and operational requirements, especially regarding security, safety, and administrative compliance.
- Perform effectively under pressure, multitask, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities during alarms or emergent incidents.
- Document security incidents and daily activity reports clearly, accurately, and consistently.
- Coordinate furniture moves, relocations, and repairs.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving in the mailroom.
- Provide vendor support.
- Conduct general maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, unclogging toilets, and repairing restroom flush valves.
- Support roast house equipment.
- Manage canteen equipment and supplies.
- Assist with event planning and setup.
- Ensure health and safety compliance.
- Provide IT desktop support, including cable management.
- Address daily work order requests through CMMS
- Support local projects.
- At least 1 year of experience in general security, administration, or related support roles.
- Minimum of 2 years in general facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and standard office equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Viasat employees, visitors, and partners.
- Eligibility to acquire and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Experience utilizing visitor management, video surveillance, access control, and other security management systems
- Current eligibility for a U.S. Government Secret clearance
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Education: AA/AS degree
- Attention to detail
