Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist (PT)

Palm Beach Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping residents regain mobility, improve strength, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment goals and plans

• Implement therapy plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation

• Apply therapeutic techniques to improve gait, strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture, and balance

• Design, fit, and train residents in the use of adaptive devices, including orthotics and prosthetics

• Select and administer appropriate physical modalities based on resident needs

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective care plans

• Instruct residents in mobility activities and monitor progress

• Modify therapy programs to meet each resident’s evolving needs

• Participate in care planning meetings and staff conferences

• Supervise therapy assistants and support staff in accordance with regulations

• Provide training and education to nursing and medical staff on therapy techniques

• Order and maintain therapy supplies and equipment

• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report repair needs

• Foster a compassionate, respectful environment for residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in Florida

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred

• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
