Volunteers are critical to the fulfillment of the Castle’s non-profit mission!

Description: Volunteers in the Mansion are a critical part of the Castle in the Clouds museum team. Along with

museum staff, they are the face of the historic Lucknow Estate and its ambassadors to the public. The newly

renovated pipe organ gives the opportunity to provide authentic and immersive experiences for guests visiting the

Lucknow Mansion. The organ player volunteer will play the organ on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Prior knowledge of the Lucknow Estate and Plant family is not required (interpreters will always be

present, and training can be provided if interested)

Skills/Abilities

• Experience playing organ, piano, or keyboard; comfortable playing in front of people
• Friendly demeanor
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable and willing to interact with the public

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• A weekly shift of 2-4 hours

Training: Volunteers will come to the mansion and familiarize themselves with the instrument while we are closed

to the public.

Volunteer Benefits are awarded based on accrued hourly milestones.
