Mold Preparation Technician 3rd shift - Full-time

This is a 3rd shift position; Sunday night - Thursday morning 7pm - 5:20am

Initial training will be for 2 weeks on 1st shift Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:20am

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for setting up permanent mold production workstations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Reading and understanding both general and part specific work instructions.
2. Blasting and spraying of the permanent mold tools
3. Spray preparation.
4. Help prep molds
5. Staging cores and baskets at workstations.
6. Repair / replace ladles and thermocouples as needed.
7. Inset preparation.
8. Assist furnace tenders as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education: High School diploma Preferred Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree

Minimum Skills/Experience: Good attendance and work record, ability to work with minimal supervision, must be or become forklift and sweeper certified.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Perm Mold Machine Operator experience helpful

Functional Requirements

Consistently able to:

• Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend.
• Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck.
• Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks.
• Push / pull 100lbs.
• See, inspect, and evaluate product quality
• Read and understand written work instructions in English
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions.
• Walk up and down steps
• Climb ladders and stairs of varying height
• Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
