The selected candidate will work closely with the Special Education teacher to support students with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Qualifications Required: - High School diploma or equivalent. - Must meet NCLB educational requirements by holding an Associate's Degree or 72 college credit hours. The Work Keys or ParaPro Assessment test can be taken as an alternative and is administered by the District upon hire. - Demonstrated standards of moral character and behavior, similar to those expected of teachers (e.g., serving as an effective role model). - Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred. - The ParaPro/Work Keys exam study guide is available on our website: Study Guide About Our Elementary Schools: Hermiston School District has six comprehensive K-5 elementary schools with student populations ranging from 460-600.
