Join Our Team

Palm Beach Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this PRN role, you will work closely with the Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, individualized care that helps residents regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement residents’ individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments, including activities of daily living (ADLs) and range of motion exercises

  • Assist with ADL evaluations under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist

  • Organize and facilitate therapy groups in collaboration with the therapy team

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and care plans

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop appropriate programs for residents

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all treatments

  • Participate in care plan meetings and therapy-related discussions

  • Ensure therapy equipment is clean, maintained, and functioning properly

  • Deliver care in a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered manner

Requirements

  • Current, active, and unencumbered COTA license in the state of Florida

  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English)

  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions when needed

  • Understanding of therapy policies and procedures

  • Commitment to maintaining therapy equipment and a clean work environment

  • Willingness to learn and implement new therapy techniques and approaches

  • Ability to effectively communicate resident conditions to the care team
