Job Title: Substitute Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

The Substitute Teaching Assistant supports the classroom teacher in maintaining a productive and safe learning environment during the assistant's absence. Responsibilities include assisting with student supervision, supporting instructional activities, helping with classroom organization, and attending to students’ individual needs. The Substitute Teaching Assistant works under the direction of the classroom teacher or other assigned staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with classroom activities and instruction as directed.
  
  
• Support students individually or in small groups.
  
  
• Help manage classroom behavior and routines.
  
  
• Supervise students in various settings (e.g., classroom, specials, lunchroom, playground).
  
  
• Provide general support to the teacher and students.
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
  
• Experience working with children preferred.
  
  
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively.
  
  
• Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
