DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Administrative Assistant 1 employees help the Loyalsock State Forest District stay organized, responsive, and efficient. This role supports daily operations, purchasing activities, public service, and office coordination. As a Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Purchasing Coordination: Manage district purchases, prepare purchasing documents, and ensure proper approvals
- Bid and Vendor Work: Initiate bids, prepare proposals, review submissions, and award bids
- Budget and Finance Support: Maintain ledgers, audit invoices, monitor purchasing cards, and help prepare the annual budget
- Office and Public Service: Answer phones, greet visitors, issue permits, and distribute maps and information
- Record and Inventory Management: Maintain filing systems, manage supply inventory, and keep administrative manuals updated
- Fleet and Equipment Tracking: Oversee district vehicle records, schedule repairs, and maintain monthly fleet reports

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dushore. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
