About this job
Job Description
$115,000 - $135,000 Annually + Sign-On Bonus and Student Loan Repayment Assistance
Geneva, NY - Finger Lakes Region
The OpportunityThis is a rare chance to build genuine orthopaedic subspecialty expertise. You'll work directly alongside experienced orthopaedic surgeons, splitting your time between clinic and OR, managing everything from sports injuries to joint replacement and spine conditions. If you've been looking for a role that stretches your clinical skills rather than routine follow-up visits, this is it.
Why You'll Love This RoleYou'll see real variety: fracture care, joint injections, splinting and casting, pre-op and post-op management, and first assist in surgery. You'll order and interpret X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, and build treatment plans independently within a collaborative surgical team.
The compensation reflects the scope of the role. Base salary runs $115,000 to $135,000 with performance-based incentives, plus a sign-on bonus and a student loan repayment assistance program. Full benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement, and on-site child daycare is available for providers balancing career and family.
There's a clear path for continued growth here, too, with ongoing CME support and defined advancement opportunities within the practice.
Your Day-to-Day- Evaluate patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedic injuries
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients
- Assist orthopaedic surgeons in the OR
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-ray, MRI, and CT
- Perform joint injections, fracture management, splinting, and casting
- Educate patients on injury prevention and recovery
- Collaborate with physical therapists, pain management specialists, and the broader care team
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Current New York State licensure as an NP or PA
- National certification through ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA
- DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Orthopaedic, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with fracture management and musculoskeletal imaging is a plus, though not required.
Why Candidates Say YesProviders are drawn to the combination of hands-on surgical exposure and outpatient clinical variety, real financial support through loan repayment and sign-on incentives, and a team that genuinely values what an APP brings to the table. Add in the setting, wineries, lakes, hiking, and small-town affordability just a short drive from Rochester and Syracuse, and it's easy to see why this one stands out.
