Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN

A healthcare facility in the Glens Falls, NY area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about delivering quality patient care and supporting nursing staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the nursing department.

• Help oversee clinical services and maintain high standards of patient care.

• Support staffing, scheduling, and nursing department workflow.

• Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds.

• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring nursing staff.

• Ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Monitor infection prevention and control practices.

• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.

• Promote teamwork and effective communication throughout the nursing department.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license.

• At least 3 years of nursing experience.

• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.

• Staff education experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
