General Cleaner I - West Baton Rouge

Job Summary:

We are looking for several dedicated General Cleaners to complete our West Baton Rouge team this August for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate for the General Cleaner I position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the school site. Your efforts will help create a positive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors by performing cleaning, custodial tasks, and basic maintenance duties with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Several shift times are available from 3:30-6:30pm, 4-7pm, 4:30-7:30 pm, 5-8pm, or 5:30-8:30pm in the Port Allen school district. This is a perfect second job for those who want a little extra money. Schedule allows you to be off on all school holidays.

Duties:

• Dust, clean, and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, and common areas
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors daily.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus.

Preferred Skills:

• Proven experience in commercial or custodial cleaning
• Ability to be reliable and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, lift 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
