Sanitation Technician – Food Production Equipment
Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

Midway Staffing is seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to join a food manufacturing team in Cleveland, OH. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food production equipment to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate has previous sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment and is familiar with ServSafe guidelines or USDA-regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food production equipment, machinery, and processing areas according to established sanitation procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitization.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents safely and effectively.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and ready for production.
• Follow USDA, FDA, GMP, HACCP, and company food safety standards.
• Complete sanitation logs and other required documentation accurately.
• Inspect equipment after cleaning to verify sanitation standards have been met.
• Maintain a clean and organized sanitation area and properly store cleaning supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with additional sanitation and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning and sanitizing food production equipment required.
• Experience in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility and/or ServSafe certification preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP principles, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
