Dietary Aide

Belleview Valley Nursing Home is looking for Dietary Aides for various shifts.

Position purpose: Assists in preparing and serving meals to residents while adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old.

General Duties include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and serve meals according to specified dietary requirements.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas.
• Monitor and report any changes in dietary needs or preferences to the supervising dietitian.
• Ensure that food is stored and handled properly to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management, including the stocking of food supplies and pantry items.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing tasks.
• Assist in training new Dietary Aides or kitchen staff as needed.
• Washing dishes, sanitizing kitchen equipment, and cleaning dining areas, including washing, drying, and storing utensils.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of nutrition and dietary practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good hygiene and grooming standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
