Box Truck Driver

Shift: 5 am to finish - Schedules are subject to change with business needs.

Box Truck is like a Uhal or Ryder truck. Non CDL

Drivers are responsible for safely operating mid-sized vehicles to manually unload and deliver smaller case loads, "hot shot" orders, or missed products directly to commercial food service clients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Touch Freight & Manual Labor: Manually unload product (using a hand cart or by hand) down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions. Requires frequently lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing between 1 and 75 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Customer Service & Order Accuracy: Bring goods directly into customer storage areas. Verify invoices, collect signatures, handle cash, and professionally resolve customer complaints or report shortages.
• Compliance & Safety: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Follow strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety rules.
• Route Navigation: Run daily routes efficiently in various traffic and weather conditions, adhering to scheduled delivery times.

Typical Requirements:

• Age: Generally 18+ for Non-CDL, or 21+ for roles requiring a commercial driver's license.
• License: Clean driving record. Depending on the route and vehicle size, a CDL Class B, Class C, or valid Non-CDL/regular driver's license is needed.
• Physical Fitness: High stamina required with the ability to constantly bend, twist, and reach (up to 72 inches) while handling bulky deliveries.
• Communication: Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills for paperwork and customer interaction.
• Basic arithmetic and cash-handling capabilities.
