Job Description
Building Maintenance Mechanic II – Full-Time
Falcons Landing, a premier Life Plan Retirement Community just outside Washington, DC, is looking for a skilled and dependable Building Maintenance Mechanic II to join our Facilities team. In this important role, you’ll help keep our campus running smoothly by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the building systems that support the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and related systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to support timely and effective repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Assist with or lead larger maintenance renovation projects.
- Provide responsive support for after-hours, on-call, and emergency needs as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of progressive building maintenance experience; 5-7 years preferred.
- Universal CFC certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in both commercial and residential settings.
- Experience with DDC controls and automated building systems
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hospital, or senior living environment is a plus/
