Job Description
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Pediatrics)
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No Weekends)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with a strong possibility of further extension
Pay Range: $20–$23/hour
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Prepare pediatric patients for examinations and assist providers during office visits and minor procedures
• Administer pediatric immunizations and perform clinical duties within scope of practice
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, urine drug screening (UDS), breath alcohol testing (BAT), PFTs, audiometry, and other laboratory testing as applicable
• Accurately document patient information and maintain medical records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Perform medication reconciliation and communicate test results as directed by providers
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current Medical Assistant certification
• Experience administering pediatric immunizations is required
• Experience with patient rooming and obtaining/documenting vital signs
