Summary:

• We are seeking a thoughtful and driven UX specialist to join our team and help shape the future of our digital solutions.
• This role blends experience strategy, hands‐on user research, and workflow analysis, with practical design execution.
• You'll work closely with product owners, scientists, IT, and other cross-functional partners to identify requirements and translate user and business needs into intuitive, scalable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead user research activities, including user interviews, stakeholder interviews, workflow walk‐throughs, and usability testing
• Synthesize research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations, and present them to cross‐functional stakeholders
• Map complex workflows and translate user needs into clear requirements, concepts, and UX strategies
• Contribute to interaction design and UI design efforts, creating low‐ to high‐fidelity designs in Figma as appropriate for the project stage
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data, and Product partners to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints
• Support projects end‐to‐end, often acting as the sole UX resource on individual initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience in UX research, UX design, service design, or a related field
• Strong workflow mapping, systems thinking, and requirements‐gathering skills
• Experience with AI-enabled tools, data/analytics platforms, or modeling/automation workflows is highly desirable.
• Experience with user research methods to iterate and validate designs.
• Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional team members and stakeholders; Ability to work independently and manage ambiguous problem spaces
• Proficiency with Figma
• A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, interaction design, shipped work simplifying domain complexity into intuitive user experiences or similar.

Education:

• Required bachelor's degree in any related field.

The hourly rate for this position is between $70-$74 per hour.
