Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented team member to support a busy interventional pain practice. In this role, you will help create a positive patient experience while assisting the clinical team with daily operations, patient flow, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and help ensure a welcoming, efficient clinical experience
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with room turnover between patients
- Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and medication information as directed
- Support providers with clinical and procedural tasks within scope of practice
- Assist with patient education, instructions, and follow-up coordination
- Manage telephone calls, messages, scheduling support, and patient communication
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate supplies, equipment, and inventory needs for daily clinic operations
- Follow all infection control, safety, and privacy procedures
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other team members
- Previous experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Comfort working with electronic medical records and basic computer systems
- Understanding of medical terminology and patient care workflows
- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and patient confidentiality
- Certification or diploma from an accredited medical assistant program preferred
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, anesthesia, or another specialty practice
- Familiarity with procedure-based clinical environments
- Experience supporting patient scheduling and follow-up coordination
