Job Description
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely moving materials, managing inventory, and ensuring production lines are consistently supplied. This position works on 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday, and involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes in a clean, temperature-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move product throughout the facility as directed by the manufacturing system, daily work schedule, or associate requests.
- Ensure direct materials are consistently available for manufacturing and assembly of customer orders.
- Perform inventory pulls and support inventory management activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or other designated vehicles following proper safety procedures.
- Operate overhead cranes effectively and in accordance with established safety standards.
- Apply proper rigging and lifting techniques to move materials securely and prevent damage.
- Organize the Receiving Department area to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace.
- Assist stock pullers with locating, pulling, and staging materials for production and shipping.
- Use RF scanners and related warehouse technology to track inventory and material movement.
- Read and interpret work orders accurately to ensure correct materials are moved and processed.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing materials.
- Perform general warehouse duties such as material handling, staging, and product organization.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds frequently and heavier items as needed, using proper techniques.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and warehouse forklifts.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled facility designed for comfort and safety. Work is performed primarily on the warehouse floor and in receiving and shipping areas, involving regular standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel materials and equipment. The position occasionally requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to access materials or equipment. Employees regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment. The environment includes the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, RF scanners, and other warehouse tools, with a focus on safety, organization, and efficient material flow. The standard schedule is 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday, with overtime opportunities based on operational needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
