We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support strategic and operational finance activities for a company based in South Burlington, Vermont. This Long-term Contract position will lead core planning, reporting, and analytical efforts, helping business leaders make informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in month-end close, forecasting, and performance analysis within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the monthly close cycle by coordinating financial activities, reviewing results, and ensuring timely completion of reporting deliverables.
• Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and business decision-making.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports that provide clear insight into operating performance and key business trends.
• Analyze financial results against plans and prior periods, identifying drivers behind monthly variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Partner with operational and leadership teams to develop forecasts and improve the accuracy of short- and long-range financial projections.
• Support financial planning and analysis activities by translating data into actionable recommendations for management.
• Contribute finance expertise within a manufacturing setting, including performance tracking and cost-related analysis tied to operations.
• Utilize Avante and related financial tools to manage data, reporting processes, and analysis requirements.• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP& A, or a related finance leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close activities and deliver accurate financial results on schedule.
• Strong hands-on experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical decision support.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance measurement.
• Background in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecast development.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of operational finance concepts.
• Familiarity with Avante or comparable financial systems and reporting platforms.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to business stakeholders.
