Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Elevator Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevator and vertical transportation systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently while delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Install new elevator systems, including commercial elevators, freight elevators, traction elevators, and chair lifts in new construction and existing facilities.
- Perform tear downs and removal of existing elevator systems as part of upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning projects.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and service on elevators to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair elevator issues, including checking safety circuits, performing fire service testing, and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
- Troubleshoot and repair open relays, PLC-controlled systems, and related control components.
- Perform maintenance, teardown, and replacement of motors and associated mechanical assemblies.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to guide installation and repair work.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tasks.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience performing equipment installation or maintenance work in a mechanical, electrical, or field service capacity.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and electrical tasks.
- Ability to read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical and hydraulic drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including safety circuits and control systems.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle for regional travel.
- Prior experience as an elevator mechanic or elevator technician.
- Military experience, particularly in technical, mechanical, or electrical roles

Work Environment
The work environment is field-based and dynamic, with approximately 50% travel to various client sites using a company vehicle. The schedule is typically first shift, from about 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no weekend work.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
