Requirements\n

\n
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
\n
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
\n
• Current certification through NBSTSA (required)
\n
• BLS (AHA)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience
\n
• 2–3 previous travel assignments required
\n
• Orthopedic assisting experience is required
\n
• Neuro/Ortho experience preferred
\n

Call Requirements\n

\n
• Weekday and weekend call rotation
\n
• Approximately:\n
  \n
  • 1 weekday call shift per week
  \n
  • 1 weekend call shift per month
  \n
\n
• Holiday call as needed
\n
• 20-minute response time required while on call
\n

Additional Details\n

• Scrubs provided
\n
• Block scheduling may be available based on unit needs
\n
• Three-shift department orientation
\n
• Travelers may float to outpatient surgery as needed
\n

Important Submission Requirements\n

\n
• Active license required at submission
\n
• Driver's license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
\n
• Only one active application allowed within the WVU system
\n
• Previous permanent employees must be separated for 2 years
\n
• Previous travelers who completed a full year must also be separated for 2 years
\n
• Any license disciplinary history must be disclosed at submission
\n
