Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion
Assignment Duration\nThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule\nShift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Job Description\nThe Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence in a comfortable and convenient setting for those requiring frequent infusions of medications. The staff consists of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy, administering various treatments to patients.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Administering intravenous (IV) antibiotics, antifungals, and steroids. \n
- Providing blood and blood product transfusions. \n
- Maintaining central venous access devices and placing PICC lines. \n
- Administering hydration therapy and IV immune globulin therapy. \n
- Conducting educational sessions for self-administration of medications. \n
- Carrying out therapeutic phlebotomies and specialty medication administration. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion. \n
- Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required. \n
- Peripheral IV insertion experience is mandatory. \n
- Experience with ports, fistulas, and catheters is required. \n
- IV Certification is highly preferred. \n
- EPIC experience is required. \n
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. \n
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. \n
