American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license, with night shifts and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- 13-week contract in a hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) \n
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Rotating holiday coverage required \n
- \n
- Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care \n
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred \n

- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under the direction of a physician and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team \n
- Duties include assessing complex patient situations, identifying expected outcomes, and anticipating discharge needs for patients and families \n
- Communicates with patients and families using cultural competency and active listening to develop and update individualized care plans \n
- Promotes infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean hospital environment \n
- Annual competency assessments are required per documented checklist \n
