American Traveler is hiring a Registered Echo Technologist for a 13-week days assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and current ARDMS (RVT/RCS) or CCI registry credentials.

- Full-time position in a hospital-based cardiovascular/diagnostic imaging department \n
- Day shift schedule \n
- 13-week assignment \n
- Performs echocardiography procedures including 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral and color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography \n
- May also perform EKGs, event and cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, lower extremity Doppler studies, and stress testing \n
- Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations \n
- Documents procedure results in the facility EMR system \n

- Active state license required if applicable \n
- Minimum 2 years of experience required \n
- BLS/BCLS certification required \n
- ARDMS (RVT) and ARRT certifications required \n
- CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer credential (or registry eligible) required \n
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography or equivalent Allied Health training preferred \n
- Experience with 2-D echo, M-Mode, spectral and color flow Doppler, transesophageal echo, and stress echocardiography preferred \n
- Must be able to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff \n

- Performs and assists with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures ordered by physicians \n
- Cleans and disinfects cardiology equipment and accessories \n
- Assists with supply inventory, patient transport, and logging procedures for billing purposes \n
- May supervise and instruct students and precept new employees \n
- Participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and monthly cardiovascular meetings \n
- Must pass position competencies, including rhythm recognition \n
- Adheres to HIPAA guidelines in management of patient information \n
- Works in an environment with potential exposure to electrical equipment \n
