American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience for a hospital-based radiology position in Austin, MN requiring ARDMS and BLS certifications.

- Hospital-based ultrasound department within the radiology division \n
- Performs general ultrasound, OB, and vascular imaging; breast ultrasound experience is preferred \n
- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with start times of 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM \n
- Weekday on-call coverage from 5:00 PM–7:00 AM (approximately 2 shifts per month) \n
- Weekend on-call coverage from Friday 5:00 PM–Monday 7:00 AM (approximately 2 weekends per 13-week assignment) \n
- Epic EMR used for charting \n
- On-site only; no telework available \n

- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound sonography experience in the specialty \n
- Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program \n
- ARDMS registration required — candidates must hold or be eligible for RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) or RVT (Vascular Technology); full certification timelines apply per facility policy \n
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross \n
- License required if applicable — no pending licenses accepted \n
- Ability to work varied shift times and lengths, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays \n
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills \n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently \n
- DOB required for consideration \n

- Produces high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation in accordance with Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards \n
- Maintains competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology as assessed through competency evaluations \n
- Adheres to proper safety guidelines for patients and support personnel \n
- Must maintain flexibility to staff various work locations and shift times as needed \n
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment \n
