American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Windsor, VT, requiring charge RN experience, prior travel experience, and on-call availability.

- Night shift position, 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts \n
- 36 hours per week \n
- Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a small community hospital \n
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5 \n
- Average daily patient census of 22 \n
- Charting via Cerner EMR \n
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed \n
- On-call is required for this position \n
- Floating required to Acute Rehab and any other unit within scope of practice \n

- Active RN license for Vermont or a Compact RN license currently in hand \n
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Rehab RN experience required \n
- Charge RN experience required — non-negotiable \n
- At least 3 months of prior travel nursing experience required \n
- BSN preferred \n
- Must have a personal vehicle — this is a firm requirement as the surrounding community has no public transportation \n
- Must be willing and available to take call \n
- Current Med/Surg skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration \n
- At least one supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration \n
- \n
- Coordinates total nursing care for patients and participates in patient and family education \n
- May be asked to serve as backup Charge Nurse \n
- Works cooperatively with ancillary and interdisciplinary team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards \n
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position \n
- RTO of no more than 5 days may be requested, and all scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after an offer is extended will not be approved \n
- Block scheduling will not be accommodated \n
- Travelers should not be simultaneously working another permanent or travel assignment \n
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position \n
