Seeking an experienced RT with specialized experience in Interventional Radiology (IR), with preference given to candidates who also have cardiac experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
\n- Assist physicians in all aspects of invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters in compliance with policies and procedures. \n
- Operate interventional and other equipment/devices as appropriate during diagnostic interventional procedures. \n
- Provide care for the physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations and procedures to ensure safety and comfort, including explaining procedures and answering questions to reduce anxiety. \n
- Transfer patients onto medical equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. \n
- Coordinate work to optimize productivity. \n
- Set up sterile trays and clean/dispose of them after procedures. \n
- Engage in activities to promote professional growth and development. \n
- Assist physician with administration of contrast media. \n
- Maintain departmental inventory. \n
- Conduct preventive maintenance of interventional equipment, including cleaning and routine safety checks. \n
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II (RCIS): \n
- Ability to communicate in English. \n
- Hold one of the qualifications: an Associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology, or an Associate's degree or higher with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Tech in a Cardiac Cath Lab. \n
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. \n
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. \n
- Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Course. \n
- \n
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification.
\n - \n
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist EP:
\n - Five years of recent experience in Cardiovascular EP. \n
- Two of the following certifications: Cardiac Interventional (CI), Vascular Interventional (VI), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications. \n
- \n
IABP Course.
\n - \n
Special Procedures Tech 1:
\n - Ability to communicate in English. \n
- High school diploma or GED. \n
- Minimum of two years post-technical school radiology experience or recent experience as a Special Procedures Technologist. \n
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program. \n
- Registered by the ARRT. \n
- Licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a Radiologic Technologist. \n
- \n
Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Exam or Basic Arrhythmia course completion.

Special Procedures Tech 2:
\n - Meets all qualifications of Tech 1. \n
- \n
RCIS, CI, or VI certification or three years of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology.

Special Procedures Tech 3:
\n - Meets all qualifications of Tech 1. \n
- Five years recent experience in Cardiovascular EP or two certifications/training program completion. \n
