Location: Baylor Scott & White Health – Waxahachie
Department: Women’s Services (Labor & Delivery & Mother/Baby)
Shift: Full-Time Nights
Schedule: Flexible scheduling based on department needs
About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health Waxahachie is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to provide night shift leadership for our Women’s Services team, supporting both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units. This role serves as the operational lead during overnight hours, partnering with clinical leaders to ensure exceptional patient care, staff support, and efficient department operations.
The RN Supervisor will provide frontline leadership, oversee daily staffing operations, assist with scheduling and payroll activities, and serve as a clinical resource for team members while promoting a culture of quality, safety, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for Women’s Services during night shift operations.
Support and coordinate patient care activities across Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby.
Serve as the primary resource and escalation point for clinical and operational issues during assigned shifts.
Assist with staff scheduling, staffing adjustments, timekeeping, and payroll processes.
Foster staff engagement, accountability, and professional development.
Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Promote compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Support departmental initiatives, performance improvement projects, and patient experience goals.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Texas RN license.
BLS required.
Minimum of three years of Women’s Services nursing experience.
Recent experience in both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby care.
Preferred:
Previous Charge Nurse experience strongly preferred.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Advanced certifications related to Women’s Services (RNC, NCC, or specialty certifications) preferred.

Essential Functions of the Role- Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Associate's Degree
- MAJOR - Nursing
- EXPERIENCE - (2) Two Years of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
