Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel) – 12-Hour Rotating Shifts

Job Overview:
\n
\n We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, tertiary care facility in Massachusetts. This position is ideal for an RN with recent high-risk OB experience who is comfortable caring for complex laboring patients and floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum as needed.
Shift:

- 12-hour rotating shifts:\n
- \n
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM \n
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM \n
\n - Minimum of 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) and 2 Friday shifts every 6-week schedule \n
- One 12-hour on-call shift required every 6 weeks \n
Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients. \n
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies. \n
- Assist with vaginal births, VBACs, Cesarean sections, and natural deliveries. \n
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery. \n
- Administer medications, patient education, and newborn care. \n
- Float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum as needed. \n
- Document patient care using the Epic EMR system. \n
Required Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Active Massachusetts RN License \n
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications \n
- Recent Labor & Delivery experience in a tertiary/high-risk OB setting \n
- Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients \n
- Experience with VBACs, Cesarean deliveries, and natural births \n
- Postpartum experience required (floating between units) \n
- Travel exp required \n
- Epic experience preferred \n
