Key Responsibilities- Provide post-anesthesia care and recovery monitoring for a diverse surgical patient population including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, vascular, endoscopy, cath lab, and interventional radiology
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 until critical recovery elements are met, then transition to 2:1 as appropriate
- Operate within a 10-bed and 4-bed PACU environment utilizing EPIC EMR
- Respond to on-call needs as required, up to 4 times per 6-week schedule, on varying days to provide staff coverage
- Participate in onboarding education and precepted orientation on the first day of assignment
- Active RN license with current PACU experience
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; 4–5 years preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification preferred; candidates without PALS may be considered
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Experience with recovery of vascular, cath lab, and endoscopy patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced PACU environment
- Eager, team-oriented approach with willingness to assist across unit needs as they arise
- Surgical scrubs are provided on-site, ensuring a comfortable and professional work environment from day one
- Structured onboarding with preceptor support helps set travel nurses up for a smooth and successful assignment
