American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/PCU position requiring at least 2 years of experience, telemetry competency, and an active SC or Compact RN license.

- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting with a Neuro/PCU focus \n
- Patient ratio of 1:4–5 \n
- Schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required \n
- Charting performed in Epic \n
- Free parking available on-site \n

- Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered \n
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Telemetry competency required \n
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position \n
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler \n
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to acceptance of the assignment; no additional PTO will be approved after the assignment begins \n
- Pre-start orientation modules are required to be completed before the first day \n
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September \n
