Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM cycle) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, potentially 1:6
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated monitoring unit
• Collaborate with CNA support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Float as needed to acute care, cardiology, and EC units for acute care patient holds
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in a one-week general orientation including EMR training, followed by two days of floor-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Prior Medical Surgical travel nursing experience
