Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location

Springfield, MO | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week (must be indicated at time of submission)

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Cardiac/Med-Surg unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Demonstrate experience and competence in drug titration within a cardiac telemetry setting
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment; document in EPIC EMR
• Float on a rotational basis as required; maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with applicable standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Must have 4 trauma credits OR complete them within the first two weeks of assignment start
• NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Additional cardiac telemetry experience beyond the minimum requirement
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a determined, decisive, and flexible approach to patient care
