Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | 10-hour shifts | Variable weekend on-call rotation as required
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for each procedure
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital safety standards
- Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or registered nurse
- Participate in department meetings, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment committed to quality care
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience or Surgical Technologist certification
- Ability to independently scrub a variety of surgical specialties
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Knowledge of orthopedic and spine care best practices, including:
- Musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology
- Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)
- Pain management
- Patient mobility and safety
- Prevention of DVT, infection, and pressure injuries
- Glucose management
- Compartment syndrome
