Our team of Licensed and Registered Dietitians (RDs) works collaboratively with facility staff to implement nutrition programs that are evidence-based and resident-centered.
Clinical Nutrition & Consulting Services (CNCS) is seeking an experienced Registered and Licensed Dietitian to join our leadership team as a Regional Director of Clinical Nutrition Services supporting healthcare communities throughout Southern Indiana.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with strong long-term care experience who is passionate about clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, leadership development, and improving resident outcomes.
Position Overview
The Regional Director provides leadership and support to consulting dietitians and healthcare facilities throughout the region. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Registered and Licensed Dietitian who can mentor clinical teams, oversee regulatory compliance initiatives, support survey readiness, and build strong relationships with facility leadership.
The Regional Director serves as a key resource for skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and senior living communities by ensuring high-quality nutrition services and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide regional oversight of nutrition and dietary services programs.
Mentor and support consulting dietitians throughout the assigned territory.
Assist facilities with nutrition assessments, care planning, and clinical interventions.
Support quality improvement initiatives focused on resident outcomes.
Serve as a clinical resource regarding nutrition standards of practice.
Regulatory Compliance
Guide facilities in maintaining compliance with CMS and state regulations.
Assist with survey preparedness, mock surveys, and plans of correction.
Review nutrition documentation for regulatory compliance and best practices.
Support facilities in addressing nutrition-related survey concerns and deficiencies.
Operations Management
Conduct facility visits and clinical audits.
Participate in recruitment, orientation, training, and professional development of dietitians.
Monitor key clinical indicators and quality assurance measures.
Ensure consistency in nutrition services across assigned facilities.
Client Relations
Develop strong relationships with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, Dietary Managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Provide consultation and education to facility leadership.
Promote a culture of resident-centered care and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Registered and Licensed Dietitian credential required.
Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Current Dietitian licensure or eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings.
Minimum two (2) years of leadership or management experience.
Strong understanding of CMS regulations and survey processes.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to travel throughout Southern Indiana.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Regional Dietitian, Lead Dietitian, or Clinical Nutrition Manager.
Multi-facility consulting experience.
Experience developing policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
Proven success leading teams of dietitians and healthcare professionals.
