Job Description

Badger State Staffing is seeking an experienced carpenter for a full-time position based in Appleton. In this role, you will independently execute structural and aesthetic repairs for residential and commercial properties following fire, water, storm, or mold damage.

Primary Duties:

Independently execute structural framing, subfloor repairs, and roof/wall rebuilding following property damage
Install doors, siding, high-end finish trim, baseboards, and cabinetry
Perform drywall hanging, taping, mudding, texturing, and interior/exterior painting
Read scopes of work, plan daily tasks, estimate and pick up materials, and complete jobs start-to-finish without direct supervision
Act as the primary on-site contact for property owners, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and dust-contained job site
Document daily job progress and submit photos/updates to the Project Manager

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of professional carpentry experience
Proven competency in rough framing, finish trim, window/door installation, drywall patching, and painting
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, read scopes of work, and manage job sites without direct supervision
Must own a comprehensive set of personal hand tools required for daily carpentry and finish work - power tools will be supplied
Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work comfortably in tight spaces like attics or crawlspaces
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
Must successfully pass a criminal background screening
