Laser Operator 3rd shift

Our client, a global healthcare and manufacturing leader, is seeking a Laser Operator to join their team. As a Laser Operator, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations team supporting the Production and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Laser Operator – 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift

Baton Rouge, LA 70807

2nd Shift Monday–Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM 

3rd Shift Monday–Friday 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM 

2nd Shift Pay Rate: $16.00/hr 

3rd Shift Pay Rate: $16.50/hr 

• Operate laser, laser/inkjet, and E.I.D. marking equipment to produce Livestock Identification Tags according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Label, package, and inspect products while ensuring quality and engineering specifications are met.
• Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and accurately record production downtime.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
• Meet daily production goals and assist with training new employees through the buddy-training process.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and basic math skills.
• Manufacturing, production, machine operator, or quality experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (THC excluded) and work overtime as needed.
