Our client, a leading organization in the transit and infrastructure sector, is seeking a dedicated Sourcing Specialist to join their team. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Management department supporting project teams and management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will enable you to thrive within a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
Job Title: Sourcing Specialist
Location: Warrendale, PA
Pay Range: $43-46/hr
Shift: Daylight hours, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Overtime may be required.
What's the Job?
- Manage supplier subcontracts through evaluation, qualification, selection, negotiation, costing, and project management.
- Resolve commercial and technical issues with suppliers, serving as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams.
- Create detailed supplier evaluation and risk analysis reports, presenting recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Identify supplier capability gaps and develop plans for supplier development and maturation to support project needs.
- Lead supply chain efforts for proposal teams by creating opportunity-specific sourcing strategies with program management.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing large-scale subcontracts in transit or related environments.
- Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and experience with ERP systems (preferably Syteline).
- Strong logical, critical thinking, and quantitative analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in a cross-cultural environment.
