Brew Brothers Lumber seeking Lumber Grader position and 3 stacking positions 


Core Qualifications & SkillsEducation: 

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).


Knowledge: 

Expertise in NHLA grading rules for hardwood lumber, including understanding species-specific characteristics and defects.


Mathematical Aptitude: 

Proficiency in measuring, calculating board footage, and understanding fractions.


Physical/Visual Ability: 

Keen eye for detail to identify defects (knots, checks, stains) and ability to work in a, sometimes, fast-paced sawmill environment.

 Role Description

 

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Class A Truck Driver based in Piketon, OH. The primary responsibilities include safely operating Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, inspecting vehicles before and after trips, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Drivers will also be required to load and unload cargo as needed, communicate effectively with the operations team, and adhere to company policies regarding safety and customer service.


 Qualifications

 

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record

Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers

Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and road safety best practices

Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members

Prior experience in truck driving, logging, or related industries is a plus

Problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations during deliveries

Commitment to safety, punctuality, and delivering excellent customer service
